The Role
We seek a visionary Business Development Lead (Rainmaker) to spearhead our commercial growth, forge strategic partnerships, and secure our company's place as a leader in AI-powered design. This isn't just about selling a product; it's about evangelising a transformative technology. You'll need the technical savvy to grasp the potential of our AI models and the business acumen to translate that into solutions that solve the real-world challenges of major players in engineering-driven industries.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Partner Identification: Identify and proactively target high-potential development partners in the automotive, aerospace, or other relevant industries where aerodynamic optimisation is critical.
- Technical Understanding: Develop a deep conceptual understanding of our platform's capabilities, including the underlying machine learning technology and how it solves specific design pain points.
- Building Relationships: Cultivate strong executive relationships with key decision-makers at prospective partner companies, establishing trust and credibility.
- Create Value Proposition: Articulate compelling value propositions customised to individual partners, demonstrating how our platform directly addresses their challenges and creates tangible cost savings or improved design outcomes.
- Negotiations & Contract Development: Lead negotiations, collaborate with internal teams on contract terms, and ultimately secure partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical and product teams to align the commercial roadmap with the company's technological capabilities and partner needs.
Essential Requirements
- Industrial Partner Tracker Record: Experience of selling into industrial partners that make things for the real world. Examples including automotive, aerospace and engineering sectors
- Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into value for non-technical stakeholders. Preference for experience in engineering, design, or scientific software domains.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with C-level executives and engineering teams alike. Has both technical understanding and the infectious enthusiasm that builds trust.
- Proactive & Entrepreneurial: Self-driven, highly motivated with demonstrated initiative and an ability to creatively generate opportunities.
- Effective Communication: Outstanding presentation and written communication skills for tailoring compelling pitches and proposals.
